Stress Exposure Team Support

From one off major incidents to teams that face ongoing high distress, the education on signs and symptoms of stress injuries can mean the difference between thriving, surviving or burning out.

Team support can look like ongoing 1-on-1 wellbeing check-ins for 6 months, one full day team training or a weekend wellbeing retreat set in stunning Queenstown, New Zealand.

No matter the setting, the content is tailored to your industry needs and built around the challenges facing your team right now. This support is evidence-based and trauma informed ensuring a safe and clear learning environment.

  • Learn the neurobiology of stress and why each person on your team will have a different window of tolerance. From here, empathy is built and a culture of psychological safety is built from the ground up.

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of psychological stress injuries as they show up at work, at home and in our relationships. Tools for self awareness and reflection mean we can ask for help sooner and recover faster.

  • Many of us have never been taught how to support someone through grief, trauma or loss but there is so much value in having a few tools on hand for those sometimes uncomfortable conversations. We will learn how to support each other but also how to set our own boundaries to feel seen and heard.

  • Once we know our baseline and signs of distress, we can front load a plan of action for when we feel ourselves overwhelmed or triggered. A wellbeing plan is created for our own personal health but also a collective plan is built for when we notice red flags in each other.

When would a team benefit from stress exposure support?

Major Event

Leaving your team to struggle through unspoken trauma exposure from a major event (both within the organisation or in the wider community) will only extend the timeline of distress. Address it now and address how difficult things may feel to expedite the path to recovery.

Ongoing Stress Exposure

Whether your industry requires ongoing exposure to distress such as emergency response, healthcare or at-risk people support, it is crucial to train your team to speak the same language around stress injury.

Team Conflict/Breakdown

Stress injury can occur after ongoing conflict within a team or regular breakdowns in communication. When people feel like they are not heard or understood, it can be felt just as significantly as a physical injury. This training can re-establish trust and safety for improved team dynamics and performance.

Leadership Change or Restructure

When massive change occurs around us, its normal to have a stress reaction to what is unknown. This training can take a team from the beginner of a new chapter with the tools and skills needed to move forward together.
